2 Chronicles Chapter 6 דִּבְרֵי הַיָּמִים בו
וָאֶבְחַר, בִּירוּשָׁלִַם, לִהְיוֹת שְׁמִי, שָׁם; וָאֶבְחַר בְּדָוִיד, לִהְיוֹת עַל-עַמִּי יִשְׂרָאֵל.6
but I have chosen Jerusalem, that My name might be there; and have chosen David to be over My people Israel.
Why is Jerusalem called Yerushalayim?
Yerushalayim is a derivation of a much older name, recorded as early as in the Middle Bronze Age, which has however been repeatedly re-interpreted in folk etymology, notably in Biblical Greek, where the first element of the name came to be associated with Greek: ἱερός (hieros, "holy").
What does Yerushalayim mean in Hebrew?
The name Jerusalem, or Yerushalayim in Hebrew, first appears in the Book of Joshua (10:1). ... The Hebrew word for “will see” or "will provide" is yireh. That's the first half of the name Yer'shalem.
Jehovah Jireh, meaning "God will provide".
And we see this name a lot throughout the Old Testament as well. In Hebrew we have El-Shaddai, meaning God Almighty. And Elohim, showing the 3 persons of the trinity in one name and also that He is Lord of lords. And Jehovah Jireh, meaning "God will provide".

Psalms Chapter 122 תְּהִלִּים
א שִׁיר הַמַּעֲלוֹת, לְדָוִד:
שָׂמַחְתִּי, בְּאֹמְרִים לִי-- בֵּית יְהוָה נֵלֵךְ.1 A Song of Ascents; of David. {N}
I rejoiced when they said unto me: 'Let us go unto the house of the LORD.'
ב עֹמְדוֹת, הָיוּ רַגְלֵינוּ-- בִּשְׁעָרַיִךְ, יְרוּשָׁלִָם.2 Our feet are standing within thy gates, O Jerusalem;
ג יְרוּשָׁלִַם הַבְּנוּיָה-- כְּעִיר, שֶׁחֻבְּרָה-לָּהּ יַחְדָּו.3 Jerusalem, that art builded as a city that is compact together;
ד שֶׁשָּׁם עָלוּ שְׁבָטִים, שִׁבְטֵי-יָהּ--עֵדוּת לְיִשְׂרָאֵל: לְהֹדוֹת, לְשֵׁם יְהוָה.4 Whither the tribes went up, even the tribes of the LORD, as a testimony unto Israel, to give thanks unto the name of the LORD.
ה כִּי שָׁמָּה, יָשְׁבוּ כִסְאוֹת לְמִשְׁפָּט: כִּסְאוֹת, לְבֵית דָּוִד.5 For there were set thrones for judgment, the thrones of the house of David.
ו שַׁאֲלוּ, שְׁלוֹם יְרוּשָׁלִָם; יִשְׁלָיוּ, אֹהֲבָיִךְ.6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem; may they prosper that love thee.
ז יְהִי-שָׁלוֹם בְּחֵילֵךְ; שַׁלְוָה, בְּאַרְמְנוֹתָיִךְ.7 Peace be within thy walls, and prosperity within thy palaces.
ח לְמַעַן, אַחַי וְרֵעָי-- אֲדַבְּרָה-נָּא שָׁלוֹם בָּךְ.8 For my brethren and companions' sakes, I will now say: 'Peace be within thee.'
ט לְמַעַן, בֵּית-יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵינוּ-- אֲבַקְשָׁה טוֹב לָךְ.9 For the sake of the house of the LORD our God I will seek thy good. {P}
An exciting and uplifting historic short movie, highlighting the miraculous events of the Six-Day War,
and emphasizing the Divine hand orchestrating these remarkable events from behind the scenes.
